I recommend that you have 2 emergency supply [ http://zegg.typepad.com/blog/2012/07/emergency-preparedness-disaster-survival.html ] kits: 1 that you never touch, except to replace perishable components, such as batteries, and the second kit, to practice your skills.
Be sure to include a King James Bible (not the New King James Bible, which is unholy) with your 72 hour kits (follow the link to get yours).
Also, be sure to include guns, firearms, and weapons with your survival supplies http://www.myspace.com/322002237/blog/479007048.
By far the top thin, to include in your kit, is water.
The video, below, refers to cookin, but you might want to elect to go 3 days without cookin. That would mean packin different foods, from the ones that she packs in the video. If you substitute broth or juice for half your water, you may be able to lighten your load.
